Following a drone project in collaboration between Lockheed Martin and Mubadala Development Co., we were asked to design a poster series. The final product of their collaboration was new payloads for their new drone Ingago. At a final event and end ceremony, they presented one of six posters to each of the six Universities, Mubadala CEO, and Lockheed Martin executives a set of illustrations that capture the essence of the program.
The posters were meant to:
- Highlight the blending of engineering and art in a set of illustrations
- Have a similar look and feel, complementing one another such that independently or all in a row, they look great.
- Be designed so that each team can sign the illustration in paint pen. These will be presented to their University executive offices.
- Be somewhat abstract, but still clearly captures the shape and lines of the Indago UAV. The viewer (knowing about Indago) should understand the concept has to do with the Indago or a UAV.
I created one of the final 6 posters, which were divided into themes related to the environments in which the drone can operate. I chose the forest as my theme and attempted to invert the visual concept of the drone in an environment. I chose, instead, to describe the environment as one with the drone.
