Nothing is off limits when it comes to Stephen A. Smith’s podcast.
The ESPN personality didn’t hold back when he revealed his “best sex songs” during a Q&A with fans during Wednesday’s installment of “The Stephen A. Smith Show.”
“Oh man, there’s a few of them,” he said. “I can’t give you one.”
That’s when the “First Take” host fired off a list of songs with some colorful commentary.
“I loved Troop, ‘All I Do Is Think of You,'” Smith said. “That’s an oldie right there.
“‘A House Is Not A Home’ by Luther Vandross, we can’t ignore that.
“You’re talking to an old school brother right here, but trust me, take notes, take lessons. I kinda am experienced in something like this.
“Teddy Pendergrass, ‘Turn Off the Lights,’ I mean that’s a nice one.”
Smith added that “you can’t go wrong” with “Adore” by Prince.
He was hesitant to include songs by R. Kelly — who is currently serving a 31-year sentence in federal prison, following convictions on child pornography, sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
“I don’t want to bring up R. Kelly, but I think it’s OK now because he’s in jail,” Smith said. “Now if he was not in jail it would not be OK because he’s getting away with stuff.
“But now that they finally got his ass and he’s in jail, it’s OK to bring up R. Kelly music now.
“‘Dedicated’ was a beautiful song. ‘Your Body Is Calling,’ that’s another one,” he continued.
“There are a few by R. Kelly… we can’t act like we don’t know that, alright?”
Smith also added, “Cry For You” by Jodeci.
“I’m giving you some [songs]. I don’t know them all.
“I mean I actually do, but I don’t want to give it all to you. But trust me, the options I gave you, those work.”
That’s when Smith sent a message directly to the “fellas” about the difference between having sex and making love.
“I’m talking to the fellas here right now,” he said. “Timing is everything. You can’t just say, let’s play the song.”
“If you’re making love you don’t need to be asking questions like this… The ambiance has got to be nice too… If you’re trying to show her what she’s worth to you, music matters.
“Dim the lights, that matters. Do not eat more than a salad before you get loose… because if you’re bloated that’s a problem.”
