Knicks vs. Hawks prediction: NBA odds, picks, best bets for Wednesday

The New York Knicks rolled through a perfect 3-0 homestand before getting tripped up in Boston on Monday night to fall to 5-5 on the season.

The Knicks travel to Atlanta tonight to face the Hawks, who return home following a 126-120 win in Detroit Tuesday night as five-point road favorites.

The Hawks and Knicks have hooked up once already this season in Atlanta as New York held on for a 126-120 victory on Oct. 27.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks in that game with 31 points, including eight three-pointers, while R.J. Barrett put up 27 points.

New York hasn’t played an easy road schedule this season, with its two wins coming at Atlanta and Cleveland, while losing at Boston, Milwaukee and New Orleans.

Atlanta owns a 3-1 mark against the spread in the underdog role this season, with the lone loss coming to New York.

All three covers were also outright victories, including a win against Minnesota as a home underdog with no rest, the same situation the Hawks are in tonight.

Betting on the NBA?

The Knicks have won four of the last five meetings at State Farm Arena since 2021, but it’s hard to ignore Atlanta’s success this season in the underdog role.

Let’s back Atlanta here at home to defeat New York in this Eastern Conference battle.
