Auburn vs. Baylor pick
The No. 20 Baylor Bears open the 2023-24 men’s college basketball season with a neutral site matchup with the Auburn Tigers at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
BetMGM is favoring Baylor by 1.5 points and I can’t argue with that.
Only so much is known about these teams at this point in the season, so I’ll lean with the better program in this game.
The Bears finished last season at 23-11 and entered the NCAA Tournament as a three seed.
They did lose four out of five starters from that team, but forward Jalen Bridges is back after scoring 10.3 and getting a team-leading 5.6 rebounds per game.
Baylor also added transfer RayJ Dennis to the team, who averaged 19.5 points per game last season at Toledo.
Auburn also made it to the NCAA Tournament after finishing 21-13 last year.

The Tigers return two important front court players in Johni Broome and Jaylin Williams. Broome led Auburn with 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while Williams scored 11.2 points per game.
Both of these teams should be good this season, but I’m going with Baylor on Tuesday, so go with the Bears to cover at either BetMGM or FanDuel.
