Haley Cavinder makes her decision on next basketball school

Haley Cavinder is taking her talents to Texas.

Cavinder, who stunned the sports world when she announced that she would return to college basketball after she and twin sister Hanna had planned to forego their final year of eligibility, revealed Monday that she will be playing for TCU.

She captioned her announcement on Instagram: “the last rodeo #committed”.

Cavinder has been rumored to be dating Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson, and with TCU being based in Fort Worth it means the apparent couple would be near each other during their respective athletic seasons.

Reports that Ferguson and Cavinder are dating first began percolating in September.

Last month, the two hung out at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth during the Cowboys’ bye week.

Haley and Hanna Cavinder, who have become viral sensations on social media, particularly TikTok and Instagram, began their college career at Fresno State before transferring to Miami for last season.

The twins were part of the Hurricanes’ surprising run to the Elite Eight.

After the pair initially decided to walk away from college basketball to pursue outside endeavors, including a contract with WWE, Haley reversed course with an announcement last month.

“As a businesswoman, she’s excited to see what type of opportunities there might be in the portal,” Haley’s agent, Jeff Hoffman, told On3.com.

“It comes from a foundation of she misses basketball more than anything in the world and as it approaches another season, even more so. She is going to hop in the portal. She’s 100% making her return to college basketball.”

Haley admitted in August that she and Hanna did not see eye to eye on whether to continue playing basketball.

“We got in a fight, if you really want to know the tea, and I was like ‘Hanna, I’m going back,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not going back, I’m not doing it anymore,’” Haley revealed on their “Twin Talk” podcast at the time.

“We made it to the Elite 8, that was Hanna and I’s goal. Hanna didn’t want to play, so she made me quit basketball.”
