Bye, bye Brett: ‘Chicago Fire’ star Kara Killmer to exit during Season 12

Sylvie Brett is packing it in. Kara Killmer is exiting “Chicago Fire” during Season 12, Variety reported on Thursday.

According to the outlet, it has not been confirmed how many episodes she will appear in before leaving the NBC drama.

Killmer joined the Dick Wolf-created series in Season 3 in 2014 and has appeared in 193 episodes. She’s also appeared as her character in “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med.”

More recently, Brett developed a romantic relationship with Matt Casey, portrayed by Jesse Spencer. The actor left in Season 10, briefly returning for episode 18 in Season 11. He proposed to Brett in the season finale, hinting he could be back for more.

The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Taylor Kinney would be returning to the show for Season 12 after missing the last eight episodes of Season 11.
