VMAs 2023 winners: Complete list with nominees

The 2023 VMAs were filled with big winners, and a few surprises. 

The ceremony aired live Tuesday night from Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., hosted by Nicki Minaj, 40. 

Shakira and Sean “Diddy” Combs both performed for the first time in over a decade. Shakira was presented with the Video Vanguard Award, while Diddy was given the Global Icon Award.

Megan Thee Stallion was among the performers, along with Olivia Rodrigo. 

Taylor Swift led the pack with 11 nominations. Miley Cyrus, Doja Cat, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Beyoncé and Ice Spice were also among the nominated artists.
