Monty Python’s revival of their Tony Award winning musical “Spamalot,” which just began previews at the St. James Theatre, has been only up for a few days in previews and tickets are already surprisingly affordable for such a high profile show.
At the time of publication, our team found tickets going for as low as $40 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Given that seats for other comedic musicals on the Great White Way like “Book of Mormon” and “Gutenberg” typically fetch higher prices, this very well might be the Holy Grail of deals.
Especially when you consider the talented cast on display.
At all shows, fans will be treated to an ensemble featuring “Saturday Night Live” alum Taran Killam, “Ugly Betty” star Michael Urie and upcoming “Wicked” film adaptation cast member Ethan Slater (who is romantically tied to Ariana Grande).
Plus, so many more.

“Spamalot” on Broadway tickets
After debuting on Halloween night, “Spamalot” has settled into a classic eight-show a week groove.
However, just like their Monty Python forebears, the show eschews tradition.
Rather than going dark on Monday, “Spamalot” performances run Monday through Saturday; there are no shows on Sunday (at least for the next two weeks).
After that, things get a bit more conventional.
Matinees are on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m.; once Sunday shows come into play, they’ll start at 3 p.m.

“Spamalot” is approximately two hours and 20 minutes. There is one 15-minute intermission.

Here’s a look at just a few of the main players’ backgrounds.
Taran Killam has quite the comedic background. In addition to his six seasons on “SNL,” he’s also appeared on Broadway as King George in “Hamilton” and the feature films “Night School,” “Why We’re Killing Gunther” and “The Heat.” Up next he’ll star in “River Wild” opposite Adam Brody and Leighton Meester.
Michael Urie made his bones on ABC’s “Ugly Betty” which he appeared on from 2006-10. In the years since, he’s lent his talents to Apple’s “Shrinking,” and Fox’s “Krapopolis.” Keep an eye out for his turn in Bradley Cooper’s Oscar bait “Maestro” where he’ll portray Jerry Robbins.
Ethan Slater garnered headlines this past summer when it was revealed he was dating pop star Ariana Grande. However, he’s a talented actor in his own right. Slater, 31, netted a Tony nomination for his work in “Spongebob Squarepants.” We’re looking forward to his role in the film version of “Wicked” with Grande next.
Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer just wrapped on Broadway’s “Beetlejuice.” She’s a vet though. Over the years, she’s appeared in “Elf,” “Legally Blonde,” “Hairspray” and many other productions on the Great White Way. On TV, you’ve seen her in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” where she played Carol Burnett as well as HBO’s “Vinyl.”
James Monroe Iglehart may look familiar for his work in “Hamilton” or “Freestyle Love Supreme” onstage. If you’re more into TV, you might recognize him from his work on “Girls5eva,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “Sesame Street.” Wondering what’s next? Iglehart is allegedly slated to take on the role of Louis Armstrong in a Broadway musical version of the famous singer’s life.
Christopher Fitzgerald received three Tony nominations for his work in “Waitress,” “Young Frankenstein” and “Finian’s Rainbow.” The stage vet also popped up in Kristen Wiig’s “Girl Most Likely” as well as “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and Netflix’s “Godless.” Most recently, Fitzgerald was on “American Horror Stories.”
