Passenger sleeps on plane floor during 15-hour flight: ‘As bad as hospital floors!’

TikTok viewers are floored by this plane passenger’s unlikely — and possibly unsanitary — sleeping location.

A New York woman has gone viral on social media after recording her father getting rest on the floor of an aircraft during a long-haul flight.

Natalie Bright has racked up more than 11 million views on the video, which shows her dad catching Z’s while squished into the space between two rows of seats.

Getting adequate rest has long been a burden for fliers, who either try to recline their seats or spread across a row if they’re lucky enough to have the space.

Few, however, have attempted to turn the plane’s floor into a makeshift bed — but Bright’s dad apparently did so successfully.

“Flying economy for 15 hours? No problem,” the daughter humorously wrote over footage of her flying father looking positively cozy in his cramped sleeping quarters on the floor between his seat and the next row.

The dad can be seen with his eyes closed and a contented smile across his face as he lies on his back, turning a bundled-up blanket into a pillow.

“More room for everybody,” Bright captioned her video.

Several TikTok users took to the comments section beneath the clip to hail the man a “genius” for squeezing into the space to sleep.

“This is so smart — never thought of that,” one enthused.

“I been alive 25 years, ain’t never seen this move before,” another remarked.

Others wondered whether the cabin crew really would let passengers sleep on the floor, with one writing: “There is no way flight attendants let anyone do this?”

“They do on long flights. As long as nobody complains then they don’t bother you,” one person replied, before a second concurred, saying it wasn’t an issue as long as the passenger wasn’t obstructing the aisle.

However, some carriers do indeed prohibit sleeping on the floor, according to Stack Exchange, which has listed Qantas, JAL and Finnair as two airlines that don’t allow the practice.

Meanwhile, multiple other viewers were turned off by the idea of sleeping on the floor, claiming there was no way it could be clean.

“Tell him to get up,” one revolted pundit implored. “It’s just as bad as hospital floors!”

However, a second person hit back, saying some standards had to be thrown out the window on an arduous long-haul flight.

“Ok, this is me,” they admitted. “Those 15 hour flights push you to your limits, I’ve done 10 years worth!”
