Tribeca penthouse snags $16 million (for the second time)

Behold: a Tribeca penthouse duplex with its own infinity rooftop pool overlooking the city skyline.

Just don’t try any flips.

The seller bought it for $16 million in September 2022 and tried to flip it seven months later, listing it for $19.8 million. It just sold — for $16 million, according to property records.

The buyer is Daniel Winer, an entrepreneur with a devilish sense of humor and co-founder of chef Gordon Ramsay’s favorite cookware brand, HexClad.

Winer, who gambled his savings on the foodie startup in 2016, bought the penthouse anonymously via a limited liability company, Handsome Devil Unlimited.

The penthouse, at 169 Hudson St., is in the landmarked Roebling Building, which is named after Brooklyn Bridge designer John Augustus Roebling and dates to 1893. (It became a warehouse for Roebling’s steel cable and wire rope manufacturing business in 1912.)

The 5,269-square-foot, smart-wired home comes with four bedrooms and four and a half baths.

A keyed elevator opens to the residence, which features interiors by Cheryl Eisen’s Interior Marketing Group.

Think: high-beamed ceilings, large windows, a wood-burning fireplace, radiant-heat hardwood floors and a custom spiral cast-iron staircase that leads to the rooftop. Building amenities include a gym, a media room, a wine cellar, a tasting room and storage.

The listing broker is Douglas Elliman’s Melissa L. Hernandez.
