Behavioral and media psychologist Jo Hemmings — a self-described McD’s fan herself — revealed what your fast food order truly says about you.
However, depending on what you like, you may not be thrilled. You’ve been warned.
Big Mac
If you’re a Big Mac lover, you’re loyal and can be “dogmatic,” but still take a joke.
“You’re a traditionalist. It’s what Maccy D’s is all about to you,” Hemmings told The Sun.
“There might as well not be a menu as you know what you’re going to have on each and every visit.”
Big Mac fans don’t shy away from being opinionated — though they’re not going to change their opinions themselves just to keep up with the times.
Hamburger
Plain hamburgers are a favorite among crowd-pleasers who go with the flow.
“C’mon, it’s a dull choice,” Hemmings quipped. “There are other places you’d rather eat, but if you have to go along with the crowd, you make it clear that it wouldn’t be your fast food of choice.”
You’re a “gentle soul” who wants to avoid the hassle and not make a fuss — though “maybe speaking up a little more on occasion would make you feel good.”
Spicy McCrispy
The new Spicy McCrispy is for the people pleasers of the world.
“You’d rather have a curry at the end of a night, but being a people pleaser, you’ll go along with any choice provided it’s got spice and heat,” she said.
Life is never boring for the Spicy McCrispy lovers, and they’re passionate and excitable.
“You like to travel somewhere exotic – or at least imagine it, you may be a bit of a dreamer.”
Quarter Pounder
If you’re ordering a quarter pounder, you want to get a bang for your buck — and often won’t dish out any extra cash.
You may be generous when you have extra money to splurge, but you like getting what you pay for.
“You’re not showy, but you’re not a pushover either,” Hemmings shared. “You like to organize and have a bit of a plan, but you will be pretty good at making sure everyone has a good time.”
McNuggets
The life of the party has arrived, and they ordered McNuggets.
“You’re the party animal,” Hemmings said. “Given half a chance, your inner child takes over, because you remember those nuggets from childhood and you’re not giving up on that simple pleasure.
“While you may not be so spontaneous and prefer to know where your night will take you, you’re positive and optimistic and always there for your friends.
Triple Cheeseburger
No offense to the cheeseburger fanatics, but Hemmings explained that you’re probably someone with a lot of energy — and can be a bit dramatic.
“You’re someone that’s probably on the go a lot of the time – you work hard and play hard and don’t give into fatigue,” she shared.
These people would rather have a quick burger to give them energy so they can keep on with their routines.
“You can be a bit excitable and occasionally over-dramatize life, but people love you for it.”
Filet-O-Fish
If you’re going for the fishy option, Hemmings said you might be described as “picky” and not a fan of chicken or meat in general.
“You want to be seen to have a healthy option, but you can’t bring yourself to choose a salad.”
Filet-O-Fish lovers aren’t afraid to speak their minds — and they may “secretly love a fry up (veggie or not) but you’d prefer not to be seen eating it!”
Happy Meal
Who doesn’t love a good Happy Meal?
If you’re still ordering a Happy Meal as an adult, you love to embrace your inner child.
“You’re always positive and see the bright side of life,” Hemmings explained. “You are spontaneous, nothing is too pre-planned and your sense of fun is infectious. Why shouldn’t you have a toy with your meal?”
