McDonald’s worker shares exactly how burgers are made — and the secret codes they use

They’re putting the fast in fast food.

A McDonald’s cook named Abbie who works in Bristol, England shared the clever way she and her fellow employees make the burgers so quickly.

A video on the local McDonald’s TikTok, @cribbscausewaymcdonalds, shows a worker making a double cheeseburger and also clues viewers into the secret codes cooks make while working the assembly line. The video has over 19,000 views since being posted four days ago.

“First, take your bun and pop it down the toaster. While that’s toasting, grab your wrapper. Whatever the burger is, have that name at the top corner facing towards the toaster,” the video explained as it showed the step-by-step process of creating a burger.

Juggling multiple orders could potentially grill workers’ brains, so they came up with a technique to always remember what they’re making.

The video shows that the paper that the burger is wrapped in has different types of burgers written on each corner. The corners read: “Double Cheeseburger, Bacon Mayo Chicken, Mayo Chicken and Bacon Double Cheeseburger.”

The top corner of the wrapper facing the toaster is the customer’s order — so that the person preparing it doesn’t forget.

In the video, Abbie plopped the burger on the proper circle and then added the cheese and condiments to the popular chain’s cheeseburger.

Commenters on the video were impressed with Abbie’s skills and asked her to show them to make some more things.

So they don’t mix up orders, they use codes on the sandwich wrappers.
